How to confirm a birth at an American Embassy in South Africa?

If you or your child's other parent is a U.S. citizen and you reside or of South Africa to visit, if your child is born, you must declare the birth at the American Embassy. The official document, your child is issued is called a consular report of birth abroad, is the equivalent of a U.S. birth certificate. The Embassy is located in Pretoria and three consulates located in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. Fill out the forms to receive. Forms are also at the Embassy or the consulate. 3Bring, original African birth certificate bear the full name of the child at the Embassy or Consulate available. Do both parents passport or certificate of naturalization of the United States (if applicable). 4Call Office consular, any additional documentation to confirm in your particular case may require.
